Epinions Great Frame

by  macassemble,  Dec 13, 2007
Pros: Great Screen, everything you need is in the box EVEN THE USB CABLE!
Cons: Screen is odd size, like many photo frames today. 128MB memory is insufficient.
Review: I won this in a prize drawing, it is an excellent frame! The picture quality is amazing! The menus are easy to use. Just plug and go. It even includes a nice remote ...

Pros: sturdy frame, easy to use, large amount of memory

Review: I have had my frame for 3 months,I like everything about it.I just wanted to share that a 2 yr. old, threw this frame down on a hardwood floor 4 times during the course of a week--and it still works fine. Each time it happen,I thought oh no the frame is ...

Epinions KODAK SV811 DIGITAL PICTURE FRAME - Excellent Picture, Mediocre Features, Decent Value

by  radioroger,  May 30, 2007
Pros: Outstanding picture quality at a good price.
Cons: Poorly conceived features and settings... Inability to randomize display sequence... Bulky power supply.
The Bottom Line: At $150, the Kodak EasyShare SV811 is a good value. It's features and options are unimpressive, but it's easy to use and has a vivid picture.
Review: I love the concept of the digital picture frame. It is a great non-intrusive way to share your photos with others or to display several photos in your home without taking up much space. Until recently, I have resisted purchasing a digital picture ...

Epinions Paying extra with Kodak Name

by  frypan,  Jun 19, 2007
Pros: Good Image quality, High speed photo reading
Cons: you can get exactly samething without Kodak name for much less!
The Bottom Line: Go for 4:3 standard screen and Buy other brands, for better use and prices
Review: The Kodak is buying their Frames as OEM from other manufactures, with same processing chipset and same program (different graphic) and you end up paying at least 35% higher than exactly same product but with other brand names that you may not aware off. ...

Epinions Awful tech support

by  staplesauce,  Jun 17, 2008
Pros: ease of loading pictures, resolution, remote control
Cons: terrible customer service, no random display of photos
Review: The frame worked fine once I got an AC adapter that worked. It took 28 days for Kodak to replace my faulty power supply. Their tech support was difficult to understand, and they did not seem knowledgeable about their own products. The frame was ...

Epinions Nice looking with great picture, but no randomizing feature may be a deal-breaker

by  raysizemore3,  Sep 9, 2007
Pros: Attractive frame, sharp picture, easy to use
Cons: No photo randomization, non-standard aspect ratio, no dissolve transition
The Bottom Line: If you don't mind cropped photos and a predictable picture rotation, you get a very sharp screen for a reasonable price.
Review: I do love the look of the frame, and the picture quality is excellent. It's pretty easy to use, especially if you're already acquainted with the ins and outs of generic USB storage devices (thumb drives, digital cameras, etc). These are the most ...

Epinions lots of trouble poor support

by  heraldnoes,  Feb 5, 2008
Pros: nice picture IF you can get it to show them!!
Cons: fails to read memory cards can not load photos onto frame- terrible tech support
Review: 1st one purchased I was told to return to store by a Kodak 'tech' because the memory card would not show up. 2nd frame- loaded all photos from computer onto memory card (in Frame) and nothing but a time glass! 6 e-mails to Kodak- and no help- just tell ...

Epinions KODAK SV811 DIGITAL FRAME

by  stevestcyr,  Oct 15, 2007
Pros: GOOD QUALITY PICTURE WHEN THERE ARE NO PROBLEMS
Cons: CONSTANT CARE WHEN ALL I WANT TO DO IS WATCH THE PICTURES
Review: FROM THE VERY BEGINNING, THE FRAME HAS NOT PERFORMED AS EXPECTED. IT FLASHES A SCREEN WHEN IT ENCOUNTERS A FILE (PICTURE) THAT IT SAYS IN "BAD". THE SAME PICTURES WORK FINE ON ANOTHER BRAND FRAME. IT ALSO FREEZES ON PICTURES WITH NO APPARENT REASON. ...

Epinions Don't buy it. The display blurs your pictures

by  samcarswell,  Oct 24, 2007
Pros: Easy
Cons: Poor rendering of pictures (blurry)
Review: The Kodak SV811 is a poor design. The SV811 screen is 16:9 and the pixels are 800 x 480, which is NOT 16:9. That means the pixels are not square (maybe the screen was made for TV). The screen is re-digitizing the pictures to make them fit and this ...
