Cons: Not As Quiet As A USM, But So What!

The Bottom Line: If you own a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT, 30D, 20D or 10D, you will find this model to be ABSOLUTELY INDISPENSABLE as a superb "Normal" lens!

Pros: price, very light, fairly even center to corners

Cons: not sharp, noisy AF ring, seemingly light construction.

The Bottom Line: This lens is not sharp enough to shoot landscapes with or for much else.
