Epinions Great lens for Canon APS SLR cameras

by  GilS,  Mar 1, 2001
Pros: Light weight and low price for a zoom lens.
Cons: Barrel is too loose and build quality is cheap.
The Bottom Line: I recommend this zoom lens for the Canon APS SLR cameras due to it's light weight and low price.
Review: I purchased this lens for my Canon EOS IX APS camera. It's light weight was a perfect match for this camera. The down side to using this lens is that the barrel is too loose.

The build quality is rather cheap. Just letting the camera dangle...

Epinions Excellent next step for the EOS Digital series

by  buchrob,  Jan 19, 2004
Pros: Excellent integration with digital rebel.
Cons: 52mm diam. means another set of filters and gadgets to buy (oh, well...)

by  jvandegr, top reviewer in Electronics ,  Dec 27, 2007
Pros: Inexpensive, good sharpness for the price, fast autofocus.
Cons: Terrible build quality, no manual focus ring, too many aberrations, large minimum aperture, etc.
The Bottom Line: Not recommended due to poor build quality, slow aperture, above average chromatic aberration, and below average ergonomics.
Review: Introduction Although I mostly shoot with professional Nikon gear, I decided to try my luck at a holiday raffle for some Canon gear and if I won, I'd give it to a friend as a gift. I think bad weather kept the raffle participants low and I ...
