Pentax Optio 430

Compact is a word that understates the Optio 430. It is smaller than a conventional pack of playing cards and weighs just 240g. Size, however, is no measure of strength, as its slim, shiny exterior holds the power to achieve a surprisingly high level of image quality. This has been made possible through the incorporation of a powerful 4.13-megapixel 1/1.8-inch primary color CCD and advanced Pentax image processing technology. The Optio 430 also has a high-performance 3X zoom lens (equivalent to 37.5 - 112.5mm in 35mm format), which provides superb compositional versatility and has been reduced in size through the integration of two dual-sided aspherical elements and a redesigned lens barrel. This lens successfully combines impressively high image resolution with a low level of image distortion, and adds a further enhancement to the performance of this powerful compact camera.
