Good, versatile walkabout lens
I purchased this lens as a kit with the d40x body, paying the extra $$$ versus the 18-55mm and 55-200mm kit. Nice, lightweight zoom
I recently bought the Nikon D80, which includes this lens as a kit lens. I've also got the D40, with the 18-200mm VR. So, I swapped 'em out, and the 18-135mmG ED is a great match with the D40. Not up to Nikon reputation
The Nikkor name drew me in, but this isn't a stellar lens. I've been using it for two years with a D80 body.
